Nancy Neil and Warpaint

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

I keep going back and looking at the Sneak Peek of photographer Nancy Neil on Design Sponge yesterday.  Her home is beautiful.  It looks so thoughtful yet not “designed.”   It looks like the kind of home you would live in forever and never leave.

I’ve equally enjoyed looking through Nancy’s blog and all of her photographs.  [...]

Dwell Studio

Friday, January 8th, 2010

I’m a huge fan of the textiles designed by Dwell Studio.  Over my lunch break today I hit up Target and got some great deals on the Dwell Studio for Target lines in baby bedding and apparel.  The Dwell line for Target is all 30% off at the moment and the best looking baby line for the price [...]

Studio to Nursery

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

The time over the holidays was a much needed break for me.  I was most excited to finally make some progress on the nursery.  My art studio is gradually making the transition to baby’s room.  We had some great friends come over New Years Day to help us move my studio to a home in [...]

Alexander Girard

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

I’ve found it!  The perfect fabric and inspiration for the nursery.  We found out last week that we’re having a boy.  I was out shopping for work on Tuesday and stopped in at Urban Outfitters, and there it was!  An Alexander Girard duvet in his Eden print.  It was love at first sight!

Blues for Baby

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Another color I’ve got stuck in my brain are blues with warm accents of orange, yellow, pink or maybe even lime or red.  I think teal blues look really great with dark woods.  Although I’m being mindful to avoid the classic chocolate and aqua blue combo that is everywhere.  The blue color I have in mind is actually more [...]

Gray and Yellow for Baby

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

I’m in love with the idea of a gray, yellow, and black color scheme .

This is such a great translation to a nursery…

We’ve been very fortunate to receive a lot of free furniture pieces for the nursery from our family and friends.  I love dark woods.  So for the pieces that are light wood I’m going [...]

Patterned Walls for Baby

Monday, October 26th, 2009

We’re growing babies over here at ZoeJo.  Jen is due in early February and I’m due April 1st.  My current obsession has been the nursery decor.  I’ve always dreamed about it and now I get to actually do it.  My art studio will be gradually transitioning into the baby’s nursery.  We still don’t know the gender but [...]

Betsey Johnson Pink

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

I’ve been in a Betsey Johnson state of mind lately.  So of course I loved this post from Odeedoh inspired by Betsey Johnson’s Manhattan Apartment and all things pink.

Why I Love the Internet

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

The first thing I do in the morning after I sit down at my desk is open up the Internet and start going through my daily blog reads.  Design*Sponge is always the first on my list.  Yesterday morning I was checking out the sneak peek into the home of Jill Elliott Sones from Fossil.  I was [...]
