Nashville: Union Station
By Sarah | November 9, 2009
I spent the weekend in Nashville, TN for a friend’s wedding. We drove 12 hrs. there and back, but ended up with one beautiful day in the city. It was so worth it. Not only to celebrate with our friends, but also to get a quick peak at a very cool city. My cousin has lived in Nashville for the past 6 months and she took me on a mini driving tour of the city Saturday morning. We stopped off at the the Union Station Hotel. It was just beautiful!

The hotel was an old train station that opened in 1900. What really took my breath away was the barrel vaulted stained glass ceiling in the lobby. The design motif from the ceiling was repeated on the carpets and marble tile flooring. On my next trip to Nashville, staying at this hotel is a must!
