Patterned Walls for Baby
By Sarah | October 26, 2009
We’re growing babies over here at ZoeJo. Jen is due in early February and I’m due April 1st. My current obsession has been the nursery decor. I’ve always dreamed about it and now I get to actually do it. My art studio will be gradually transitioning into the baby’s nursery. We still don’t know the gender but I’ve got color palettes rotating through my brain. One thing I’m sure I want is some kind of patterning on the walls. I’ve been furiously pulling images off the Internet. Unfortunately I don’t know where to credit most of the images since I’ve been collecting for so long, but the majority are via Ohdeedoh.

Since I won’t be doing an actual wallpapering, I love the idea of creating a patterned effect with paint or maybe even custom decals.

And just to complete this total image overload post….the ceiling! I think that patterning of some kind on the ceiling could be awesome. Especially since the baby is going to be looking up most of the time.

I’m going to have so much fun! I just have to be sure not to turn the nursery into some kind of crazy circus freak room with all my ideas. Tasteful editing will be key. This baby does have to live in it after all.
