Library of Congress on Flickr

By Sarah | August 11, 2009

Say goodbye to your morning.  The Library of Congress has moved some of their images to Flickr.  Check out these sets of historic photos. (via Its Nice That)  I love these images from the News in the 1910s set taken by the Bain News Service.  I wonder what story our media images will tell 100 years from now.

I love the ones of Inez Milholland and Alice Paul in their collection! TLOC has been a contact of mine on Flickr for a while and their postings never get old. You might also like http://www.shorpy.com/ — high resolution prints of randomness from days gone by. I love getting to see the photos extra large and noticing details in what people wore, the technology they used, etc. You can also order prints at Shorpy.
