The Welcome Wagon
By Sarah | December 19, 2008
I’ve been craving a “return to my roots” lately. Maybe its typical of the holiday season or maybe its just a phase I’m in. Either way, I’m currently in love with the debut album from The Welcome Wagon titled Welcome to the Welcome Wagon. The music is by couple Vito and Monique Aiuto. He is a Presbyterian minister and she is an artist, also responsible for the amazing cover art. The album is produced by Sufjan Stevens and was recorded in the Aiuto’s home. The music is largely church hymnals and covers. To me it is so fresh and so quiet and wonderful and everyhting I want music to be right now. Read more here
